If there is a reason to visit Blue Palace it must be its unparalleled location, with breathtaking views. Blue Palace is situated just 3 km away from the village of Elounda and within a few hundred meters of the fishing village of Plaka, where life still moves along to the rhythm of another era. The resort overlooks the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea and sits opposite the isle of Spinalonga with its medieval fortress. Spinalonga's story dates back to the Venetians and Turks, conquerors of Crete, and is nowadays a unique historical attraction protected by the Greek Society of Byzantine Antiquities. The area around Elounda is of exceptional natural beauty. Ruins of the ancient city Olous, the isle of Kolokytha and the beautiful traditional villages on the hills set an ideal scenery for long walks or day excursions.

Blue Palace, Resort & Spa is an ultimately romantic place; home to 251 luxurious accommodations ranging from bungalows to suites and four private villas placed along the shore with amazing views. Designed with contemporary elegance, their stylish feel is combined with indigenous natural material and traditional techniques.

The blush colour of the walls, found in many Cretan houses, reflects the warm Cretan hospitality and together with the clean lines and the luxurious yet subtle interiors, blend to an elegant design. The resort is spread out, with stone paths surrounding the various neighbourhoods and the gardens reflect the natural environment with olive, locust and palm trees, herbs and enlarged pots. It is an attribute to tradition yet reflecting contemporary elegance.

Suites
Suites are beautiful spaces of fine proportion, offering impressive views of the cobalt blue of the sea or of the beautiful gardens.

Spacious marble bathrooms are beautifully appointed and offer various amenities ranging from rain showers and egg shaped bathtubs to jacuzzis with a view. Beds are covered with Egyptian cotton sheets, piled high with pillows and some are four poster.

Every piece of furniture along with state-of-the art facilities and the subtle luxury of materials contribute to the suites' gentle ambience.

Beach
Our 200-meter long beach will fascinate you with its crystal cobalt waters. It is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and beach towels are free of charge for our guests. Beach service is also available. To ensure effortless access to the beach level, spa and other facilities a panoramic lift goes down from the lobby level. Club Cars with driver are also available and can be used upon request.

Pools
The resort has three main swimming pools, one with fresh water one with sea water and underwater music and one with sea water which can be heated during colder months for the use of our guests. One heated fresh water pool is located within the spa premises and 142 more pools are available for private use. (kindly note that access to the spa is appropriate for children of 14 years and up).

All our swimming pools are kept in an excellent condition using the latest technology and most natural methods. Chemical Parameters (Ph, Chlorine levels etc.) are regulated under the strictest EU Standards.
All Guest Room Pools are with sea water.
The swimming pools of our Bungalows, Suites and Villas are heated to a pleasant temperature of 26 o Celsius during spring and autumn months. For temperatures over 27 o C an extra charge may apply.

The Cretan Golf Course, is a full 18 holes par 71 golf course, designed by PGA DC of Great Britain. The Club lies 40 km from the Blue Palace in the direction of Heraklion.

he Arsenali Lounge is located under the arched 11 meter high lobby that is a faithful replica of the 16th century Venetian Arsenali of Heraklion town. Comfy sofas and amazing views to the sea create the perfect backdrop for sunset champagne cocktails. Open daily during daytime for cocktails and light snacks until late in evening for drinks.
The Isola Beach Bar offers beachside snacks, cocktails and refreshments at the long beach of the resort. Dedicated beach service.
